Some traights of the Maltese Schnauzer mix, or Mauzer

Personality:
These dogs take on the temperament of both Schnauzers and Maltese. They are playful and affectionate little dogs. Most are very alert and obedient; which makes them easy to train. The Miniature Schnauzer Maltese mix tends to be an excellent watchdog and can be very vocal when happy or excited. These dogs are great with children and other dogs, but will sometimes chase smaller animals such as cats. Most people find Maltese Miniature Schnauzer puppies to have a spirited and friendly personality.

Hybrid Dog Information:  (Designer Dogs) (Boutique Dogs)

Scientifically speaking, the term "hybrid” is incorrect as all dogs are a sub-species of wolf (Canis lupus familiaris) and as such, it is impossible to have a hybrid as they are two of the same species. Although technically incorrect, the term "hybrid" is the name which is predominantly used for these mixes and therefore it is the name we will also use when referring to them. http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/mauzer.htm

A little about the Maltese Mix

Bentley my first Mauzer baby boy is a male with a solid black coat with a little white running down his neck. I have to comb him daily because his hair is like a humans hair and will get tangled if left uncombed for a period of time. Ill tell you a little about the Maltese Mix here in this post. The Maltese Mix is usually black, white, silver or a combination of these three colors. Hair is usually short and wiry. Maltese schnauzer dogs should be brushed daily and be professionally groomed every 6-8 weeks to keep hair trimmed, clean and  free of mats. they shed little or no hair and most are hypoallergenic. Full grown Schnauzer Maltese mixes can weigh anywhere from 8-15 pounds. www.lonestar.edu/cyfair.htm

A little about myself and my love for the Maltese Schnauzer mix breed

Hi, My name is Frank Teten, I was born in Houston Texas and currently attending Lonestar College at the Cyfair location. I'm a military Veteran of 10 years and a proud Maltese Schnauzer mix "Mauzer" dog. I picked this topic for my blog because I'm so excited to tell the world about this wonderful breed of canine. I was first introduced to the breed a year ago while looking for a new puppy. My friend told me about this new exciting hybrid dog that has been taking Hollywood by storm and recommended that I try this relatively new mix between the Maltese and the Schnauzer out because it seemed to be a good match for me and my lifestyle. I was so pleased with my decision to get a Mauzer that I had to start a blog about this crazy, playful and intelligent animal called the Mauzer. I'm including a hyperlink for you who want to know more about the breed. http://www.maltesemaniac.com/schnauzer-mix.html
